Predators fall to Colorado Springs Mountain Lions after fourth inning score

Predators 9U lost the lead late in a 15-9 defeat to Colorado Springs Mountain Lions on Saturday.  The game was tied at eight with Colorado Springs Mountain Lions batting in the top of the fourth when an error scored one run for Colorado Springs Mountain Lions.

Predators 9U collected nine hits and Colorado Springs Mountain Lions had 11 in the high-scoring affair.

Colorado Springs Mountain Lions got on the board in the first inning.  Camden singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Predators 9U scored seven runs in the second inning.  The offensive onslaught by Predators 9U was led by Griffin R, Luke U, Derek G, and Shane S, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Lyla got the start for Colorado Springs Mountain Lions. The fireballer surrendered six runs on one hit over one inning, striking out three.

Hans B was on the mound for Predators 9U. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out seven.  Colin C and Derek entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two-thirds of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

Predators 9U collected nine hits.  Hans, Griffin, Mason K, and Shane all managed multiple hits for Predators 9U.  Shane, Mason, Griffin, and Hans each managed two hits to lead Predators 9U.  Derek led Predators 9U with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with ten stolen bases.
